Lukáš Houdek
Umělec Lukáš Houdek připravil před osmi lety na dvacáté první výročí setkání ve sklepě, kdy bylo Lukášovi šest let, artefakt tvořící základ výstavy. Pro jistého Pepu, který jej tehdy zneužil, vytvořil vzpomínkové fotoalbum, které mapuje příběh jeho dětství od chvíle setkání až do dospělosti. Dárek k výročí v roce 2012 muži nakonec nepředal, rozhodl se ale, že jej použije jako umělecký artefakt a prostředek k detabuizaci tématu sexuálního násilí na dětech. S jeho snahou rezonuje v televizi nedávno uvedený dokumentární film “V síti” režisérske dvojice Víta Klusáka a Barbori Chalupové, nebo starší film “Danielův svět” Veroniky Liškové z roku 2012.
„Opakovaně jsem se setkával s názorem, že bych o těchto věcech měl mlčet, protože to je ostuda a jde o intimní věc. To mě naopak před lety vybudilo k tomu toto téma otevřít. Abych to tabu aspoň částečně zbořil a ukázal živou tvář někoho, kdo se se zneužitím v dětství setkal. … Když člověk takový příběh zveřejní, je časté, že se mu začne jeho okolí stranit. Neví, jak se k němu chovat. To právě napomáhá další traumatizaci lidí s touto zkušeností a tomu, že se se svým traumatem nikomu nesvěří. Prohlubování traumatu obětí pak napomáhá cílená tabuizace tématu, o kterém naše společnost ani dnes nedokáže otevřeně a konstruktivně mluvit. Co když se ale samotné oběti chtějí dozvědět, co se jim vlastně stalo, proč a co s tím dál?“

Lukáš Houdek (1984) vystudoval romistiku na FF UK v Praze. Fotografovat začal v roce 2005, kdy se pokoušel zaznamenávat situaci Romů v rozličných lokalitách v ČR i zahraničí. Od roku 2010 se věnuje také výtvarné fotografii, jejímž prostřednictvím zpočátku reflektoval zejména vlastní sexuální identitu v konfrontaci s okolní společností a jejími postoji k odlišným sociálním skupinám. Ve své současné tvorbě se věnuje zejména tématu identity. Pracuje na několika dlouhodobých projektech, které se zabývají světem indických hidžer a kóthí.
Mezi jeho hlavní témata patří také reflektování odsunu německého obyvatelstva po roce 1945 a proměn českého pohraničí, nebo aktuální téatu migrace a manipulací.

Lukáš Houdek
The twenty-first anniversary of the meeting in the cellar, when Lukáš was six years old. The artist created for a man called Pepa, who abused him at the time, a commemorative photo album mapping the story of his childhood from the moment of the meeting until adulthood. In the end, he did not give the man the anniversary gift in 2012, but he decided to use it as an artistic artifact and a means of detabuizing the subject of pedophilia.
The author of the exhibition, Lukáš Houdek, says: I did it repeatedly he met with the opinion that I should keep quiet about these things, because it is a shame and it is an intimate thing. It on the contrary, it aroused me to open this topic. To at least partially break the taboo and show it alive the face of someone who encountered childhood abuse. (…) When one publishes such a story, it is common that his surroundings begin to side with him. He doesn’t know how to treat him, he’s dirty. That just helps others traumatizing people with this experience and not confiding their trauma to anyone. Deepening the trauma of the victims is aided by a targeted taboo of a topic that our society cannot even do today speak openly and constructively. But what if the victims themselves want to know what they really are happened, why and what to do next?”
Artist Lukáš Houdek transforms this traumatic experience into a consistent work of art with a strong one emotional informative value. The exhibition also includes the installation All My Mother’s Knitters (2011), which follows up on the unintended “coming out” – Lukáš’s mother until the creation of the Anniversary of Abuse project she didn’t know her son.
Lukáš Houdek (1984)graduated with a degree in Romani studies from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. He began to take photographs in 2005 in order to record the situation of the Romani people in various locations in the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2010 he also began to create artistic photographs through which he initially reflected his own sexual identity in confrontation with the surrounding society and its attitudes towards different social groups. His present work focuses on identity, and he is participating in several long-term projects studying the world of hijras and kothis in India. He also does research on the expulsion of the German population after 1945 and the transformation of the Czech Sudetenland (borderline regions) and topical themes of migration and manipulation.
